If you enjoy having a a cocktail from time to time, keep your money at home if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your evening bag, your billfold, and keep all money, plastic credit and checkbooks back at the hotel. Only take whatever cash you anticipate to use on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you expect to throw away and keep the remainder behind.

Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You can have a win following a intoxicated evening out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hook a marathon roll at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that account seeing that it’s as short-lived as it gets if you always drink alcohol and gamble. The two simply do not go well together.

Leaving your moola back at the hotel might be a little excessive, but defensive measures for drastic behavior is a requirement. If you gamble to win, then don’t drink alcohol and gamble. If you like to burn your $$$$ without a concern, then consume all the gratis beer your stomach are able to handle, but do not take plastic credit and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your drunk as a skunk brain loses everything!

Permit me to carry this 1 step more. Don’t drink and then head on to the internet to wager in your favorite online casino either. I enjoy a cocktail from the comfort of my condo, but seeing that I am hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can’t drink alcohol and wager.

Why? Although I do not drink a lot, once I consume alcohol, it’s certainly sufficient to blur my judgment. I bet, so I don’t drink when betting. If you are a drinker, do not gamble when you do. When mixed, both create a dangerous, and expensive, cocktail.
